Talk Money Week 2020

it’s time to talk about money

This week is #TalkMoneyWeek an annual campaign run by the Money & Pensions Service. The campaign acts as a reminder that it’s okay to talk about money, whether that’s your money worries, your current financial position or your money goals! See, if we as a nation could end the stigma associated with talking about money and people felt comfortable talking about money, perhaps people would ask for help when they need it, or feel motivated to improve their financial position.

We understand it can feel a little awkward, but breaking the silence will have more benefits than you realise:

  • Boost your confidence making financial decisions – get a second opinion!

  • Share your financial journey with others to motivate yourself

  • Tell others about your goals to hold yourself accountable

  • Open up about your relationship with money to build stronger personal relationships

  • Help your family develop better money habits

  • Feel less worried about money by seeking advice

We urge you this week, or in fact from now on, start talking about everything from your pocket money to your pensions.
